Zaza should get it by bringing back the ghost of Andrew Bogut in Oracle Arena to completely take Boogie out of his game.

Had more to do with Green, really: Draymond got two quick ones on Cousins in the first four minutes.

Really? That's it? **** it, nobody gets BMOtN tonight... On second thought, I may accept a write-in nomination, if a lower-tier big man had a good night.

Big Man of the Month of November is Joel Embiid. He received 6 BMOtN designations during the month. Second place was Andre Drummond, with 4. I didn't post an update for October, but it was won by DeMarcus Cousins, with Anthony Davis and Marc Gasol tied for second.

Big Man of the Month, season-to-date:

    October: DeMarcus Cousins
    November: Joel Embiid

    12/2 Big Man update:

    Marc Gasol: 27/6/4/3/2 versus Cavaliers
    Andre Drummond: 14/11/6/5/1 versus Seventy-sixers
Joel Embiid: 25/10/0/1/0 [6 to] versus Pistons

(BMOtN) DeMarcus Cousins: 38/8/0/0/1 versus Trailblazers

I normally prefer to see Big Men get more rebounds and blocks, but I'm giving BMOtN to Cousins because of the circumstances: on the road, second night of a back-to-back, coming off of an embarrassing loss, playing without the alleged best player on the team, against arguably the second-best defense in the league. And Cousins did what he usually does against Portland's front line... which is, to say, that he mauled them.

    12/4 Big Man update:

    Nikola Jokic: 10/8/5/2/2 versus Hornets
    Dwight Howard: 12/9/1/1/0 versus Magic
    Joel Embiid: 22/12/2/0/4 versus Suns
    Karl-Anthony Towns: 7/11/3/0/1 versus Grizzlies

(BMOtN) Marc Gasol: 21/7/5/0/1 versus Timberwolves
DeMarcus Cousins: 19/11/7/5/3 [7 to] versus Warriors**
    Andre Drummond: 11/15/2/3/1 versus Spurs
    Rudy Gobert: 4/10/3/1/2 versus Wizards

    ** Ejected 4th quarter

I'm giving this to Gasol, almost out of protest. If you go by the box score, Cousins had, arguably, the best night, in terms of counting stats, but he actually played like ass. This was only maybe the second or third game this season that the Pelicans were better with him on the bench... and he lost his composure, and got himself tossed. And I refuse to give it to Embiid, because they lost, at home, to the Suns. So BMOtN goes to Gasol, who had a respectable 21/7/5, and his team finally snapped what I believe was a double-digit losing streak, against a pretty good team.

    12/6 Big Man update:

    Nikola Vucevic: 22/16/4/2/4 versus Hawks
    Marc Gasol: 17/8/3/0/2 versus Knicks

(BMOtN) DeMarcus Cousins: 40/22/4/0/4 [6 to] versus Nuggets
    Andre Drummond: 27/20/6/0/0 versus Bucks
    Dwight Howard: 14/7/2/0/1 versus Warriors

Cousins is the leader in the clubhouse; not going to call it just yet, but I can't imagine what Towns would have to do in LA tonight, to take it from him.

^^ Slight sarcasm, but the fact it's not even a little surprising when he explodes like that says so much about him.

    Rudy Gobert: 6/9/1/1/2 versus Rockets

I feel kind of "meh" about the idea of awarding BMOtN on a night where only two top big men played... Maybe if it comes up as a tie-breaker at the end of the month, I might come back and award it retroactively.

Not to mention that both came in losing causes.

    12/8 Big Man update:

    Dwight Howard: 25/20/2/1/6 versus Bulls
    Nikola Vucevic: 21/17/2/1/4 versus Nuggets

(BMOtN) Andre Drummond: 8/17/4/1/1 versus Warriors
    Anthony Davis: 18/6/2/0/0 versus Kings
DeMarcus Cousins: 38/11/4/3/0 [8 to] versus Kings
    Marc Gasol: 20/7/4/0/0 versus Raptors

This was a tough call for me... Every top-tier big man that played tonight lost... and they all lost at home, no less! Therefore, I'm begrudgingly giving BMOtN to Drummond, by virtue of having the least offensive and least embarrassing loss.

    12/9 Big Man update:

    Rudy Gobert: 20/9/1/0/1 versus Bucks
    Marc Gasol: 22/6/6/0/1 versus Thunder

(BMOtN) Nikola Vucevic: 31/13/10/1/1 versus Hawks

Another tough call for me. Second straight night that all the top-tier big men lost. My inclination was to give BMOtN to Gobert, who had the least embarrasing loss, but I feel like I can't overlook Vucevic's first career triple-double... even though they lost to the Hawks!

    12/10 Big Man update:

    Andre Drummond: 6/15/1/0/0 versus Celtics

(BMOtN) Anthony Davis: 29/8/4/1/5 versus Seventy-sixers
    DeMarcus Cousins: 23/9/2/1/1 versus Seventy-sixers
    Karl-Anthony Towns: 28/12/4/3/0 [7 to] versus Mavericks

I would have ordinarily given it to Towns, turnovers and all, except that he only scored two points, on two free throws, in a game where his team trailed at home in the fourth quarter against the Mavericks.
