As long as this counts, how about this for worst way to die, ever: http://www.planetsave.com/blog/2007/...y-to-die-ever/ A man who lived in his own “zoo” of lizards and insects was fatally bitten by a pet black widow spider — then eaten by the other creepy-crawlies. Police broke in to Mark Voegel’s apartment to find spider Bettina along with 200 others, several snakes, a gecko lizard called Helmut and several thousand termites had gorged on his body. Neighbours alerted police after becoming alarmed by the stink. And horrified officers were met by a nightmare scene. A police spokesman said: “It was like a horror movie. His corpse was over the sofa. “Giant webs draped him, spiders were all over him. They were coming out of his nose and his mouth. “There was everything there one could imagine in the world of reptiles. “Larger pieces of flesh torn off by the lizards were scooped up and taken back to the webs of tarantulas and other bird-eating spiders.”

I've split this stuff off into its own thread. I'm asking that people please use a little bit of common sense and restraint in what links they post. This is a family-friendly site... If the site you link to isn't also appropriate, the link is gonna be removed.
Thanks.

Not exactly a crime, but...
http://www.cnn.com/2007/WORLD/europe...eut/index.html Bears eat man at beer festival
BELGRADE, Serbia (Reuters) -- A 23-year old Serb was found dead and half-eaten in the bear cage of Belgrade Zoo at the weekend during the annual beer festival. The man was found naked, with his clothes lying intact inside the cage. Two adult bears, Masha and Misha, had dragged the body to their feeding corner and reacted angrily when keepers tried to recover it. "There's a good chance he was drunk or drugged. Only an idiot would jump into the bear cage," zoo director Vuk Bojovic told Reuters. Local media reported that police found several mobile phones inside the cage, as well as bricks, stones and beer cans

Wonder what that means for those bears? Often when an animal gets a taste for human flesh as a dining option, it becomes dangerous and a problem.
